Establish Order

It is a scientific fact that everything tends toward entropy. Rare is the student who successfully completes a course in thermodynamics without being able to tell you that entropy never decreases – it increases or, at best, remains the same. This is essential information for studying and predicting the behavior of many systems — and a completely man made phenomena.

“I shall never believe that God plays dice with the world,” said Albert Einstein and the author agrees with him. In fact, there’s no evidence to suggest it.

Nature is a complex, balanced system with built in checks and balances and a high degree of order. If examined, one will find symmetry in plants, species whose survival depends on another, and patterns throughout nature.

To bring ourselves closer to God and express the divine force inside us, we should also create order, and the place to start is in our own lives.

As Within, So Without

In many ways our external environment is nothing but a reflection of the state of our mind and heart. Turbulent, violent or conflicting emotions, scattered thoughts, half finished plans and abandoned goals all find a physical means to express themselves in our life. Prayer, meditation, conscious breathing… all techniques that promote stillness and reduce mental clutter are helpful but not complete by themselves.

As Without, So Within

To clear our mind and clear the way for blessings, we should clear up the physical space around us. Invite divine order into your life as you bring order to the space around you. Make a special point to clear out spaces that haven’t been touched for some time — closets, attics, basements, and garages. Remove things you no longer want or use, give them away if possible (and practical), throw them away otherwise. While you do this repeat to yourself that you are clearing the way for your blessings to flow into your life. Be sure to recognize and acknowledge them as they come. Now give thanks and enjoy the benefits of the energy that can now flow freely around you!
